We're working now on finalizing the first few hours of the game, so we can share a free beta/demo with you.
It's later than we hoped for, unfortunately, but we can release the game only when fully satisfied with the quality, to ensure that Dark Envoy is a game worthy of your time and which you will remember playing.
On the release date - we're changing it 2021, aiming for April/May. For us good music is essential for storytelling, so we hope you like the few samples we put in the clip. Last time we got a glimpse of Event Horizon’s upcoming tactical RPG Dark Envoy, the game was positioned as a turn-based title. But when you’re doing a big puzzle, until the shape of the illustration starts to appear, there is little to show. The video shows off the game’s intro, its character customization screen and a good deal of updated gameplay. Along the way, they will be building up a crew of their own to join the battle. The game will begin by picking four base classes and 16 specialties, some of which are unlocked later on. This Steam announcement lets us know that Dark Envoy now has an updated release window of April/May 2021, while the accompanying gameplay video presents a game with a completely overhauled, real-time combat system very similar to the studio’s previous title - Tower of Time. Dark Envoy can be played solo or co-op as players will begin at an airship that will be your base of operations. Inspired by the likes of Divinity and Xcom, Dark Envoy is a procedurally generated tactical RPG with high replayability and a unique angle on multiplayer gameplay that we rarely see in this style.
